One of our main goals at Digging Deep has always been to provide well-deserved coverage to all riders who DIG DEEP week after week. As a former mid-pack pro, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to get noticed in the middle of the pack. I would have loved for fans to recognize a strong effort—and that’s exactly what I want for today’s pros. Enter ATV Fantasy!

I'm incredibly proud of the additional content and coverage our podcast has brought to ATV racing fans, and in 2021, Digging Deep ATVMX Fantasy took that to an entirely new level. The first-ever ATV Fantasy league aligns perfectly with our mission at Digging Deep. By introducing a fantasy league, we’ve encouraged fans to follow and appreciate all riders throughout the entire pro class like never before. We’ve invested significant time, effort, and resources into this endeavor for two key reasons:

1. To help fans enjoy the races more than ever before.

2. To bring more coverage and attention to riders throughout the entire Pro Class than ever before.

DIGGING DEEP ATV FANTASY is back! Prove your six-rider team made up of different AMA ATV Pro Class, Pro Sport, and WMX riders is better than all the rest for a chance to earn prize opportunities from our partners!

Here's how Digging Deep ATVMX Fantasy works: Your team will be made up of four AMA ATV Pro members, one from each Tier (a Tier 1 rider, a Tier 2 rider, a Tier 3 rider, and a Tier 4 rider will make up your team). You will have the ability to pick a new team for each event.

Our weekly power rankings (ranking from 1.1 to 5.0+) will help us determine what riders belong in each particular tier, enabling riders to fluctuate tiers from week to week. Tier 1 riders can best be described as "Win Contenders". Tier 2 riders are essentially "Podium Proven". Tier 3 riders are "Podium Contenders". And Tier 4 riders are "Top Five Threats" who are hoping to break into the top 5. You will pick one rider from each tier to assemble your squad and prove that you know ATV Motocross better than the rest!

Scoring will be based on championship points. The amount of championship points your rider earns at any given event will be the same amount of points he will earn for YOUR team. Your four riders' points will be combined to determine weekly winners, while we will keep a rolling tally to determine which players were consistently best throughout the entirety of the season.

When two riders tie for the "win" at the top of their tier, the rider who earns the highest overall position will be rewarded a 1 point bump. For example, if Joel Hetrick finished 1-2 for second overall and Chad Wienen finishes 2-1 for first overall, instead of both riders scoring 47 points in what would essnetially be a tie, the overall winner (Wienen in this scenario) would earn one extra point, making him the clear winner. This will apply to all tiers, as we want to put an extra emphasis on the overall winner or tier winner in a tie scenario.

NEW FOR 2026: Pro Sport Wildcard Selection

For Tier 5, you'll be asked to predict which rider will finish in a specified overall position. The target finishing position will be displayed next to each rider's name before you make your selection.

Tier 5 scoring:

Exact rider/position match = 25 points

One position off = 10 points

Two positions off = 5 points

More than two positions off = 0 points

NEW FOR ROUND 7: WMX Class Added

Beginning with Round 7, we're excited to introduce the WMX class as Tier 6. For this tier, you'll simply predict the overall winner of the WMX class. Your fantasy team will earn championship points based on the finishing position of the rider you select.

Weekly and season-ending prizes will be awarded to our league's top finishers. Event winners and season-ending top top finishers are guaranteed prizes (with additional prize opportunities TBD).
